About Us
The Squishy Goose has been a true labour of love for two local families who dreamed of creating a space for kids and their grown-ups to relax, celebrate, and have fun together.
Over the course of many playdates and a ridiculous amount of coffee, Aleesha and Emily bonded over the idea of bringing a family-focused indoor playground to their community.
The hope was to provide a neighbourhood hub, where families could socialize and spend quality, stress-free time with one another – a place to connect and find a true sense of belonging within the walls of The Squishy Goose. They knew they surely weren’t the only ones craving a space like this, and beginning in March of 2022, they did just that!
Grateful for the strong foundation they created together, Aleesha is excited to be continuing the dream – and in 2026 became the sole-owner of The Squishy Goose as Emily went on to pursue other goals. Aleesha’s passion for community, connection, and creativity will support The Squishy Goose as it begins a new chapter; strengthening its role in the community and in providing a safe, clean, inclusive space for families to connect and make memories together that will last a lifetime.
Meet The Team

Ms. Aleesha
Aleesha is the owner and founder of The Squishy Goose. She was born and raised in Toronto (Scarborough), and moved with her husband Ben to Northumberland (first to Cobourg, and then to Colborne) almost 20 years ago. Together they have two boys under 12, and two dogs (a Berner and a Pug) so she’s no stranger to chaos.
Aleesha is a Trent University alum, and her professional background is in advertising, market research and interior design. She spent several years as a stay-at-home-mom, and was thrilled to create her own dream job that combines all the things she loved about her former corporate career with all the things she now loves about family life.

Mr. Ben
Ben is married to Aleesha, and together they own and operate The Squishy Goose. He works full-time for Wheel Trans in Toronto, but you’ll catch him at the playground on his days “off”!
Previously, Ben worked for many years at the Toronto District School Board specializing in outdoor education, and is passionate about creating spaces where kids can truly be kids.
He was born and raised in Scarborough, and moved to Northumberland in 2009. When life with two boys and two dogs isn’t keeping him busy, Ben loves to play disc golf, get lost in the woods, and bake – then eat – as many cookies as possible.

Ms. Jenny
Jenny has been valued member of the Squishy Goose family for three years. You will find her welcoming families at the front desk, and is also one of our Little Goslings preschool program teachers.
Combining her degree in linguistics with years of childcare experience, she loves helping kids learn and grow through play.
Off the clock, Jenny is an outdoor adventurer who loves running, swimming, biking, hiking, and badminton.
She looks forward to seeing you and your little ones on your next visit to The Squishy Goose!

Ms. Meagan
Meagan officially joined the flock at The Squishy Goose in January 2026; although she was hanging around for over two years before then, running her Twinkle Time toddler sensory and development classes.
Meagan wears a couple of different hats at TSG. You might see her climbing the structure with our Little Goslings as the Program Coordinator of our preschool program. She is also the Party Manager, working behind the scenes to bring that extra spark of magic to your child’s special day.
Meagan is passionate about children’s development and the importance of play in developing their confidence and social skills. She loves being part of their journey and watching them grow and blossom.
At home, Meagan a mom of two, and when she’s not at TSG chasing after our Little Goslings, you’ll find her digging in the garden, going on bike rides, or walking the beach to collect sea glass.

Ms. Marie
You might recognize Marie as a frequent flyer at The Squishy Goose where she loves spending time with her two kiddos, but she recently joined the team in June 2026.
She is excited to be a friendly face behind the counter at TSG, and to do some fun behind-the-scenes work as Creative Director.
Although Marie has her Bachelor of Business Administration from Trent University, she would argue that everything she knows (and continues to learn) is through Motherhood and being a small business owner.
Marie admits that she hasn’t figured out how to find time for hobbies quite yet (she’s also the co-owner of Lofty Butter Company), but she does enjoy coffee chats, pretty rocks, and everything delicious.

We

Northumberland County is where we work, live, and raise our children, and we are so grateful to call it home. We love to incorporate as many different local businesses as possible into the fold here at TSG…check them out!
